Through my newsletter, I aim to help you do all that and more—while sharing struggles and successes from my life, the lives of my thousands of readers, and the lives of a variety of experts across multiple fields.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

I consistently challenge myself to improve, cut unnecessary clutter from my life and focus on doing the important things day after day.
If you join me, I’ll challenge you to do the same. I share my best stuff with my mailing list every week, and most of it never ends up on my blog.

Two more important things:

  1. I give 99% of my stuff away for free.
  2. I don’t overload you with stuff you don’t need.In fact, I actively encourage people to unsubscribe from my newsletter if they’re not a good fit.
    So that’s that.

3 Things That Will Change Your Life

1. BUILD A BODY YOU’RE PROUD OF—THE POSITIVE RESULTS WILL BLEED INTO THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

My freshman year in college, I weighed a scrawny 150 pounds being 6 feet tall. Yikes. By my sophomore year, I gained 30 pounds of muscle while becoming stronger and more athletic.

I looked better, had 10 times the confidence and learned that you can do anything you set your mind to if you put in the work and stay consistent.

My confidence and discipline spilled into every area of my life which led to a successful career in sales, real estate investing and becoming an entrepreneur shortly after college.

Due to the grind of my high stress sales job, I started eating what was fast and convenient and skipping workouts which led to my future wife letting me know that I “was getting a double chin”.

That was all the motivation I needed to change everything. Over 90 days I went from a doughy 197 pounds to a lean and muscular 170 pounds.

A few big things happened in part due to this transformation:

  • I became a top producer in sales and coached 100’s of other salespeople. I traveled the world on the company’s dime and saved enough money to pursue my passion and start my own businesses.
  • I realized my dream of being an entrepreneur and opened two nutrition stores in Denver. I worked with some amazing people, from professional athletes to business owners and everyone in between.
  • We coached 1,000’s of people to improve their diet, nutrition and health. A lot of people’s lives were drastically changed. Our best male client lost over 100 pounds and our best female client said that we helped save her life after losing her husband.
  • I met and married the girl of my dreams. Being more confident and becoming the best version of myself helped me attract my amazing wife.

  • I coached aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue work that matters. Most guys want to make a big impact or start a business but they don’t know what to do or how to get there. Helping them find that vision and leave the evil empire of corporate America is the most rewarding work that I do.

2. THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU CAN MAKE IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF. – Warren Buffet

When I was 19, I was a bit above average in most areas of my life – I had a B average in college, had decent friends and was moderately athletic. In the poker game of life I was dealt good cards but not pocket Aces.

Sure, hard work could help you be more successful but it was maybe 10% of the equation. You played your hand the best you could but the chips of life would usually go to the guy with the best cards or the lucky draw.

Then I read a book that changed the course of my life.

Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins showed me that successful people usually weren’t any more gifted or talented than less successful people – successful people simply found models of people that they wanted to be like and recreated their behaviors, improved their own thoughts and psychology and invested heavily in their own growth and development.

This changed everything. Life wasn’t about the cards you were dealt -the winning player was the one that played his hand with better psychology, optimal strategies and had the work ethic to improve his game.

I didn’t know it at the time but this simple change in mindset was the most valuable thing that I would learn in college – something that I could have learned for a $1.99 late fee from the public library.

Over the next decade, I read hundreds of books, worked with mentors and hired coaches to continue investing in growth and my own development.

We all have a huge opportunity to stand out and get ahead. All it takes is a growth mindset that is continuously learning and the willingness to do what is necessary to become who we want to be.

3. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE AND HAVE REAL CONVERSATIONS; THEY’LL MAKE YOU BETTER IN EVERY WAY.

In my experience, guys don’t talk to each other nearly enough. At least, not in any deep way. That’s a shame because conversations that get to the core of who we are, what we want, what we’re trying to do — are life-affirming.

Becoming an entrepreneur or the best version of yourself is difficult and can feel extremely isolating. Surrounding yourself with other like-minded guys is critical.

I realize that some people — lots, actually — don’t have many people like that in their lives. I’ve heard from readers who say they feel like they’re in a bubble back at home. They say they stand out from their circle of friends, and that their family doesn’t understand them.

I get it.

That’s why I try to have real conversations here on this blog and through my emails. Or, at the very least, I try to tell stories to help you out, to let you know that you’re not alone. I try to ask hard questions that make you think—the same hard questions I ask myself and my closest friends.

I don’t know about you, but I hate small talk. I don’t want to hear about the weather, or the game, or whatever else. Instead I want to hear what matters to you. I want to hear what you’re struggling with and how you’re trying to overcome it. I want to hear about how you’re living day-to-day, what kind of things you’re working on and what kind of things you’re thinking about.

That’s where the good stuff is.

SO, THOSE ARE (SOME) OF THE THINGS I BELIEVE.

I have more, but this page is getting long enough already.

If I can help in any way, make sure to join my weekly email newsletter and hit “reply” to the first email you get from me.

Let me know what’s going on with you. I read everything I get.
